Tax time is going to be interesting for me this year. In the past I’ve always worked for someone else and received a W2 at the end of the year detailing my earnings. This year, since I’ve been building out my home business, I have to gather that information for myself.
I have no idea what the self employment tax rate is but I sure hope it’s lower than what I’ve paid in the past. Running all aspects of a business as I do is very hard work. I hardly think it’s fair if I have to pay more taxes than those working for others.
Oh well, life isn’t fair right? My parents taught me that early on and it’s been true in just about every aspect of life. The only thing to do is keep a smile on your face and roll with the punches. There really aren’t very many things that a positive attitude can’t fix.
